Out of all the Gibson guitars, the Gibson Les Pauls has perhaps the most interesting back story. Orville Gibson, the founder and creator of these now famous guitars, began his company back in the late 1880s. However, it wasn’t until the 1940s when he met a man named Les Paul who introduced him to his idea of the latest “it” guitar: the solid body electric guitar. Some years later after some hesitation the Les Paul Guitar was born.
